of her wonderful characters Rika, Yamato, and Sora. (Rika is the mother, lying down, Yamato is the father, sitting up, and Sora is the pup, curled in the middle. <3)
Their story is GREAT so far, and I highly recommend checking it out. Pieces of the story can be found here: [link] and [link] and [link] in that order. It's a classic, but done differently with several twists that I can pick out so far... I look forward to seeing more of them in the future, both near and far! ;3 I was honored to be able to use them for the subject of this piece, and I had a ball doing it. This takes place right after the birth of Sora, and it's just a moment of tender rest. <3

Done over many hours - sketched onto paper with a mechanical pencil and scanned, then outlined and colored in Photoshop CS5 with my Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet.
